Building Up The Church

October 12, 2018

“…to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up…” (Eph. 4:12).

Who We Are: Do you want to know the kind of church we are?  Just look around. We have chosen to take the road less traveled.  We would much rather equip our very own than put an “Ad in the Newspaper” looking for the next best thing.  We believe in PARTICIPATION.  That’s who we are.  It takes patience sometimes, but it is always better in the end.  When you think about our growth as a church the last 60 years, it has been slow, steady and healthy.  Everybody has chipped in and played a part in our success as a church.  In addition, we are dripping with talent.  Each member in the body has untapped potential for the kingdom.

What We Believe: Our community of faith is led by members of our church who tithe at our church and belong to our church.   At The Mission everybody is challenged to do something for the Lord and get involved.  We have youngsters learning the camera ministry, lay ministers leading prominent ministries, and we believe in empowering each person to take ownership in ministry.  We believe in equipping the saints for the work of the ministry — plain and simple.  Yes, we also believe in excellence; however, we desire to foment a culture of excellence from the inside-out rather than resorting to “Paid Professionals” who don’t have any skin in the game.  And, we are willing to wait for people to DEVELOP to meet the needs of not only this house, but of the kingdom of God.

The Church at Work,
Pastor Josh
