A Godly mother is an expression of who God is. She brings comfort to the wounded. She is up at all odd hours of the night to check on her babies and then lies down exhausted for a few hours of sleep. She wakes up at dawn to get lunches ready for school or for work. She cleans little ears, brushes teeth, combs hair, makes breakfast, gives hugs. God gives her strength for every season. She is a good woman, faithful, loving, reliable and strong. She may not be rich in material things but she is rich in Christ. She fears the Lord (Prov. 1:7; 31:30). She may not be famous, popular or charming. But she is devoted, excellent in all her ways and secure in herself. A good mom is not a part-time mother! She’s an “energizer” and beautiful in all her ways. She puts family before self. She’s a leader, a preacher, a cop and a saint. That is why we honor our
